As was previously announced last month, Huawei's new Mate 10 Pro is available to pre-order in the United States as of today, and it will ship beginning on February 18. Priced at $799.99, Huawei threw in an extra incentive, and you'll get a $150 gift card to whichever retailer that you purchase it from.
The Mate 10 Pro includes Huawei's in-house Kirin 970 chipset, which includes a Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This allows the phone to perform more complex, "artificial intelligence" tasks. For example, the camera can tell what it's looking at, and adjust the settings accordingly, and the phone can tell how you're using it, and adjust the power settings to maximize battery life.
The handset is available in Midnight Blue and Titanium Gray; however, there's also a Diamond Black version, which is the Porsche Design Mate 10 Pro. This one is priced at $1,225, and does not come with the $150 gift card incentive, but it does pack 6GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
You can pre-order from B&H, Amazon, Newegg, and Best Buy now, and it should be coming to the Microsoft Store soon. You'll want to be sure that if you order from Amazon, choose the "Device with Free $150 Amazon Giftcard" option, as for some reason, there's an option to buy the device without it.
Make sure to check out our review before you buy. We enjoyed the device, especially the camera. The software skin is a bit thick, but ultimately it provides a great experience.
