Huawei has been releasing some solid offerings for the past couple of years and has even started to create a presence with releases in the United States. The Mate 9 was initially announced a year ago and offered quite a set of specifications. While the firm has already announced its successor, the Mate 10, the Mate 9 is still a very capable handset.
If you need a refresher, the Mate 9 offers:
- 5.9-inch 1080p IPS LCD
- 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage
- 20MP monochrome rear and 12MP RGB sensor camera
- 4000mAh battery
- USB Type-C port
- EMUI 5.0 with Android 7.0
While it was already priced fairly to begin with, the passage of time has brought the handset to its lowest price yet. If interested, the Mate 9 is now on sale through Amazon and Best Buy for the price of $399.99. This is a massive discount from its original retail price that saw the handset debut at $599.99. Perhaps what makes this price even more enticing is that the firm is working on an update to Android 8.0 Oreo that will eventually land on the unit.
