Announced at CES this year, Huawei's MateBook 13 goes on sale today. The PC is positioned as a MacBook Air competitor, with the MateBook X and MateBook X Pro in the premium space.
There are two models available. For $999, you'll get a Core i5-8265U CPU and a 256GB SSD. For $1,299, it comes with a Core i7-8565U, a 512GB SSD, and an Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU. They both have 8GB RAM.
It has a fingerprint sensor in the power button, which scans your fingerprint when you power up the PC, rather than having to scan your finger again after it boots up. The screen is 13 inches with a 2160x1440 resolution, giving it a 3:2 aspect ratio, and it supports touch.
In the box, you'll find a 65W charger and the MateDock 2.0, which you'll want to keep around since it only has two USB Type-C ports and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. The MateDock adds USB Type-A and more.
You can find the base model on Amazon here and Newegg here, and the Core i7 model is available on Amazon here and Newegg here. It will also be available on the Microsoft Store within the next few weeks.
