Huawei's new TalkBand B3 is a Bluetooth earpiece that doubles as an activity tracker

Huawei has been on a hot streak as of late, offering a new device roughly every couple of months. Today, Huawei announced the P9 and P9 Plus, but also debuted a new wearable, the TalkBand B3.

The TalkBand B3 is the third entry in the TalkBand lineup following last year's TalkBand B2. The style remains consistent with the B2, as the wearable doubles as a Bluetooth earpiece that can be removed from its wristband. Although not the most robust in terms of features, the B3 can track your daily physical activities like running, climbing and cycling, and it can also track your sleep activity. The new wearable is being touted as "combining fashion and technology in a wearable device".

As for the specifications, the TalkBand B3 offers:

  • monochrome OLED display
  • 91mAh battery that is rated for 6 hours of talk / 3-4 days in standby
  • rated IP57

The TalkBand B3 will be offered in three different versions: Active (silicone band), Classic (leather band) and Elite (metal band). The Active will start retail for €169, the Classic at €199, and the Elite will be offered at €249. The B3 will be compatible with both iOS and Android.
