Today, Huawei announced that you can now pre-order its Watch GT in the United States. Running the firm's LiteOS and using a dual processor, the Watch GT's claim to fame is its battery life, which Huawei says can be weeks. In fact, it could go up to 30 days, although it should be about two weeks with average usage.
It has a ceramic bezel, stainless steel shell, and Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating, and the ceramic undergoes a 23-step process to make it six times harder than stainless steel. That means that you'll have a hard time scratching it up, although it's unclear how prone the device will be to shattering.
It weighs in at about 46g without the strap, and it's just 10.6mm thick. The 1.39-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 454x454 for a 326ppi pixel density, and of course, it has all of the fitness tracking features that we've come to expect from Huawei's fitness products. These include sleep tracking, GPS, heart rate monitoring, and more.
There are two options for the Huawei Watch GT. For $199.99, it comes in Graphite Black and has a silicone strap. For $229.99, it comes in Saddle Brown, and you'll get a leather/silicone strap. You can pre-order from Amazon.com or Newegg beginning today.
