Earlier this year at CES, Dell announced a redesign of its XPS 13 laptop. The clamshell PC now has even narrower bezels, a smaller footprint, and more. It should be no surprise that the rest of the XPS lineup is going to get the same treatment, and that's what one Reddit user has spotted.
The image above was spotted on Dell's Precision laptops page, although it's since been removed. Another post on Reddit claims that it shows the XPS 15 9500, and it's possible that there's going to be a larger XPS 17 for the first time in years.
To break it down a bit, Dell's Precision lineup is for mobile workstations; however, it's not uncommon for the company to reuse the XPS design for other use cases. Even if the above image is meant to show a 15-inch Precision laptop, that's likely going to be the same chassis as the next XPS 15.
As for an XPS 17, that would be an interesting addition from Dell. The new screens are going to have a 16:10 aspect ratio, and as we saw from the latest XPS 13, that means the screen is narrower and taller. A larger 17-inch model might hit the sweet spot for people that need a screen as wide as the previous XPS 15.
