Rumors about Alcatel's plans to release Windows 10 Mobile devices have been flying around recently, including references to a handset called the 'OneTouch Fierce XL for Windows,' revealed by reputable leakster Evan Blass. The new handset would be the company's latest entry in the Windows mobile space, after launching the POP 2, and the Pixi 3.
In line with this, a new render of the upcoming device has surfaced, courtesy of Blass himself.
The new leak not only shows the OneTouch Fierce XL for Windows, but also reveals that there will be an Android version of the handset. The design of the two variants is almost the same; however, the capacitive buttons are different, to suit the operating system installed on it.
The specifications of the Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL are as follows:
- Quad-core 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 system-on-chip
- 4G LTE connectivity
- 5.5-inch display with HD (1280x720px) resolution
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB onboard storage
- 8MP rear camera
- 2MP front-facing camera
- 2500mAh battery
- microSD card slot
- Voice over LTE (VoLTE) support
- High-definition video recording
- Windows 10 Mobile/Android
It is not yet known what version of Android will be used for the device. Both variants will arrive on T-Mobile USA, but it still remains to be seen if other carriers will offer them.
The Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL will be available this December, according to Blass.
