The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL aren't supposed to make their official retail debuts until October 19, but it looks like some lucky folks are getting their handsets a day early. Google started the pre-order process of both handsets the day they were unveiled on October 4. While some might receive their handsets today, others will be waiting - as there is a delay in shipment extending out several weeks, possibly even into late November.
If you aren't in the mood to order online or wait and are a Verizon customer, you can try your hand at procuring one tomorrow at the carrier's retail locations. While a representative for the wireless carrier has confirmed that they will be in stock, inventory numbers have not been disclosed.
Those looking for an unlocked model might want to head to the Google pop-up shops. Though the firm doesn't usually sell merchandise at its Los Angeles or New York locations, they will be making the exception in celebration of the new handsets and its smart speakers. The Pixel 2 will start at $649, while the larger Pixel 2 XL comes in at $849.
