With the Joker's return last week, NetherRealm Studios has now begun unveiling their Injustice 2 DLC plans. The new cinematic trailer showcasing Fighter Pack 1 is seen above, which adds three new fighters that players can obtain as part of the game's post-launch DLC.
The pack contains Red Hood, a previous Robin of Batman, Starfire, an exiled princess of planet Tamaran, as well as the surprise addition of Sub-Zero from the developer's Mortal Kombat series. Sub-Zero's arrival is similar to the first Injustice's incursion of Scorpion, where the Mortal Kombat fighter arrived as a guest character for the game via DLC.
NetherRealm Studios hasn't announced the DLC pack's pricing details or its release date yet, but owners of the $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition will receive Fighter Pack 1 when it launches at a later date. In addition, as seen in the last few seconds of the trailer, six more DLC characters are also to be revealed, with the game's $99.99 Ultimate Edition giving access to all nine post-launch DLC characters.
Injustice 2 will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 16.
