What's this? More Apple rumors? Well, that doesn't come as a surprise, at least not to me. Alas, this one comes with a twist; there's screenshots. That's right, we've finally got screenshot evidence of video recording coming to an upcoming revision of Apple's iPhone, so that hopefully makes things a bit more feasible.
Ours friends over at MacRumors have discovered all these juicy details, deep within the configuration files of Apple's latest iPhone 3.0 beta. As mentioned, this should remove any previous uncertainty about video recording being featured in the next iPhone. There has been a few configuration files, such as: "Auto-Focus Camera", which is fairly self explanatory. "Magnetometer" was also discovered, so this means that a digital compass type feature will be coming also, and lastly "Voice Control" was found. These three files are relatively solid evidence, so it's hard to doubt them. We know why you're here, though... screenshots. Well, take a look below and see for yourself.
As you can see, the video interface is the same as the camera interface, except it features a toggle switch in order to shift between the two functions. This was discovered by modifying the configuration files in the OS 3.0 beta to tell it that there was a video camera present; only then did this new interface show itself.
There you have it, folks. Solid evidence. With all these new features rumored to be coming, it will be good to see most of the common complaints with Apple's iPhone removed. Thoughts?
