Apple has confirmed that they will begin online pre-orders for the brand new iPhone 5 at 12:01am PST on September 14. Sprint will also begin pre-orders at this time and Verizon a whole minute before at 12:00am PST. The tech giant confirmed the news with Wired. AT&T is yet to confirm when it will start selling the device online, but it's likely to be at the same time as Apple.
The iPhone 5 which was announced yesterday is built from glass and aluminum and features a larger 4-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio (1136 x 640) and a pixel density of 326ppi, 4G LTE, and an A6 processor which Apple says is twice as fast for general processing and graphics rendering compared to the A5 in the iPhone 4S. The device comes in at just 7.6 mm, and weighs 112 grams. The display has 44% more color saturation than previous models, and new touch sensors that are integrated into the display. The rear camera has an 8-megapixel sensor, better low light performance and can capture images 40% faster. The camera app has also added the ability to detect faces, shoot panorama, and allow you to take photos while shooting video. The front FaceTime camera is now also 720p HD and you can use it over cellular.
