From The Inquirer: IT TOOK A LONG TIME to drag Intel, kicking, screaming and roaring, to the PC-133 SDRAM table.
During this pre-Caminogate period we remember Intel male and female spinolas telling us repeatedly "it will never happen Mike".
Well, a lot of bits have sped through a heap of front side buses since then, but it seems to us that Intel is showing every sign of cavilling over the adoption of DDR, and quite possibly placing a spanner in the works to slow down the folks that inhabit the JEDEC planet.
Late tonight, The Inquirer asked Intel when its DDR 845 chipset would be out along with Northwood and the answer was a definitive first quarter of next year. But the representative said that obviously samples would be available before then.
