Nintendo president Satoru Iwata will address the gaming illuminati at this years Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, the event organisers announced on Tuesday.
The convention, which is arranged by Think Services, will run from March 23-27 at the Moscone Convention Centre. Many of the industries big players are expected to be present with anticipated titles such as Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake and Brutal Legend likely to feature. The scheduled Killzone 2 developer talks are also certain to be popular.
Iwata last graced the GDC stage in 2006 where he was eager to underline the importance of "disrupting development", paving the way for the unparalleled success of both the DS and Wii. Not only that, but the Nintendo boss also unveiled the first Zelda DS title, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, which later became both a critical and commercial success.
The keynote speech, entitled "Discovering New Development Opportunities", is likely to focus on the same fundamentals of his 2006 speech, further stressing the necessity for variety and originality in game development.
Iwata will deliver his third GDC keynote at 9:00 am PST on Wednesday March 25th.
