Just Cause 4 has just been made available on the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft's game subscription service on the Xbox One. A surprising addition considering the Square Enix published game launched just three months ago. Another major release from the publisher, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, joined Xbox Game Pass last month as well.
The new addition seems to be an early arrival, considering Microsoft teased recently that a game starting with the letter J will be coming to the Xbox Game Pass tomorrow, March 7, and there haven't been any official announcements yet. Another Xbox One title is also supposed to accompany it, but there aren't any clues on what it will be.
Here's the store page and a short description of Avalanche Studios' latest entry to its open-world action series, once again starring Rico Rodriguez:
Welcome to Solís, a huge South American world home of conflict, oppression and extreme weather conditions. Just Cause 4 sees rogue agent Rico Rodriguez land in Solís to hunt down the truth about his past, at any cost. Strap into your wingsuit, equip your fully customizable grappling hook, and get ready to bring the thunder!
Unless Microsoft pulls the trigger early, we should be seeing the official Xbox Game Pass announcement for Just Cause 4 and the unknown second game sometime tomorrow as previously planned.
A single month of an Xbox Game Pass subscription can currently be purchased from the Microsoft Store for $1, down from the standard $9.99 price point. There is also a 14-day free trial available to new users.
