Microsoft has apologised via tweet after it was suspected one of the promotional videos for the recently announced Kin mobile phone series contained material encouraging 'sexting'. The tweet read, "Microsoft has deleted the inappropriate portion of the Kin video. We take sexting very seriously, & are sorry it happened".
Consumer Reports raised the issue on their blog, pointing out a sequence of the video where a young man takes a photo of one of his bare breasts under his t-shirt. The sequence was labelled "downright creepy" and Microsoft has since removed it from the promotional video on the Kin website.
The video provided by Consumer Reports refers to the young man taking the photo and sending it to a friend at around the 33 second mark.
