During the Spring Showcase livestream of Epic Games today, the company revealed the Kingdom Hearts series is finally coming to PC as an exclusive. The long-time-running series has arrived on almost every console platform and even mobile since its debut in 2002, but this is the first time PC players will be able to jump into the Square Enix and Disney collaborated franchise.
The announcement revealed that the most recent entries, Kingdom Hearts III and Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, as well as several collections that essentially offer every game that has launched in the franchise will soon be available via the Epic Games Store.
The hub page for all the games Epic Games Store will be offering can be seen here, which splits the packages down to KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC), and KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory.
As the naming structure does not shed much light on what games are included in the collections, head over to each store page to find out which games are being offered. Of course, the latter most two titles are the aforementioned standalone releases.
The full collection is slated to go on sale starting March 20, 2021, exclusively on the Epic Games Store. It's unclear how long will this exclusivity period last exactly, but judging by previous exclusive games, it may take at least a year before these hugely popular games arrive to Steam or other PC platforms.
