MEMORY FIRM Kingmax said it has released a DDR 500 memory module which it described as "hard core" and "hyperband". According to Kingmax, since Intel introduced its "PAT" technology, a number of motherboards have "hit the market" with system buses supporting over one gigabyte (GB) of memory.
This DDR 500 DIMM, said Kingmax, is tested for "hyperband" compatibility with all 875/865 motherboards currently in the market. Said the firm: "The DDR 500 has shown impeccable performance at its extreme". Impeccable means "without sin". The firm declined to say what the typical cost of such a DIMM at 256MB or 512MB might be, making us wonder why the headline on the statement says "High Quality but not High priced".
