Kirby Star Allies, a popular platform game developed by HAL Laboratory, launched on the Nintendo Switch earlier this year arguably to rave reviews (see our own review of the game here). One of its drawbacks, however, was the small number of Dream Friends characters. The developer has since never lacked for efforts to address that by rolling out more Dream Friends to the game.
Today, Kirby Star Allies is getting a new update that introduces more content including new Dream Friends and a fresh challenge mode called the Heroes In Another Dimension. The new Dream Friends include Francisca, Flamberge, Zan Partizanne, and The Three Mage Sisters. However, this will be the last batch of such characters for the game as HAL Laboratory confirmed in a blog post (Japanese) that there will be no more Dream Friends to be added as part of future updates.
The latest release also marks the completion of its development, according to the developer. It bumps the game's version number to 4.0.0 with the usual bug fixes and improvements meant to make it more comfortable to play. See one of its trailers below:
