Korean MMORPG giant establishes European presence

Lineage II and City of Heroes to launch in Europe by the end of 2004

NCSoft Corporation who recently released City of Heroes has announced that it has intentions to open a European division. NCsoft plans to invest around 4.9 Million Euro to establish NCSoft Europe. This headquarter will be located in London and will focus on releasing services and products in that territory. NCSoft is planning on launching a Massive Multiplayer titles Lineage II and City of Heroes in Europe before the end of 2004. At at moment, NCSoft headquarters are located in Chine, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, North America and Thailand.

Climax Group chairman Geoffrey Heath, an industry veteran who worked with Activision during the Atari 2600 era and also has a track record including work for companies such as Origin, Maxis and Mindscape, will head the new NCSoft Europe division up. "NCSoft is a business that has captured the imagination of gamers across Asian and US markets," Heath commented in a statement on his new role. "Europe is the next step for the company as it grows a global online games network."
