Following the Wii U, Nintendo had a lot to bear on its shoulders, when it came to releasing its next-generation console. While some felt that the Switch was a gimmick, it has actually done quite well in sales. Nearly eight months after its release, the console has sold quite a bit, with the firm even upping its prediction for the end of the fiscal year. This new success translates into more developers willing to take a gamble with Nintendo and produce unique content.
Korg, known for its manufacturing of electronic musical instruments and associated devices, is apparently prepping the release of a new music game. While there is a live site for the product, there is currently very little news about it, with an expected release date in the spring of 2018.
According to The Verge, it will be called Korg Gadget, and will be a customized version of a digital audio workstation (DAW). If unfamiliar, a DAW is an application that allows recording, editing, and producing of music. The version for the Switch will take advantage of the Joy Con controllers, and possibly the touchscreen.
