The team at Facebook in charge of updates to the recently released Windows 8.1 app has been very busy of late. There's already been a few new versions released since it first went live in mid-October, including one that added a number of notification settings to the app.
This weekend, yet another update to the app was made available via the Windows Store, and while Facebook has not posted up a change log, WPCentral has a list of what's been added in the new version. The changes include support for the Share charm in Windows 8.1 which will allow users to share content from other apps to the Facebook app.
Picture messages can now be used in the app thanks to the new update, as well as the ability to download photos so they can be set as a Facebook profile image. Facebook photos can now be used as a Windows 8.1 lock screen image after they are opened from any post.
The new version lets users share a Facebook post through a message or their timeline too. Finally, the app can show the messenger feature in Snap mode if it positions on screen to be narrower than its previous display limit.
