Earlier today, Microsoft released Windows 10 build 14393.953 to everyone that's running the Anniversary Update, including PCs and phones. If you installed it on your PC, you'll find a new message waiting for you in Windows Update.
Indeed, we're one step closer to the Creators Update's release, as the page in Settings now says "Good news!" The Windows 10 Creators Update is on its way. Want to be the first one to get it?" This is followed by a link that says "Yes, show me how".
That link, however, is a bit misleading. When the Anniversary Update was released back in August, it was a staged rollout over several months, so if you wanted to be the first to get it, you had to take certain steps. If you thought that that's what this is, you'd be mistaken. Instead, it simply suggests that you sign up for the Windows Insider Program, which in fairness, will get you the Creators Update preview right now, and you'd be among the first to get the RTM build.
In case you were wondering, this message is exclusive to PCs. Windows phones still show the same update screen, presumably because that won't be a staged rollout, whenever it is actually released.
