Polish studio Bloober Team, the collective behind games like Brawl, >observer_, and Layers of Fear, is bringing the latter to Nintendo's latest console.
Initially released on February 16, 2016, this first-person psychological horror game got its first DLC dubbed Inheritance in August of that same year. In it, you control the daughter of the painter protagonist from the original title.
In December of 2016, a redesigned version of the game developed in Unreal Engine 4 - as opposed to the Unity-built original - called Layers of Fear: Solitude was released for Google's VR platform, Daydream.
Layers of Fear: Legacy is set to debut worldwide for the Switch in the first quarter of this year, though the team has remained tight-lipped beyond offering this time frame. It includes the base game, the Inheritance DLC, and has support for HD Rumble, the Joy Cons, and the touchscreen on the hybrid console.
No details on pricing have been revealed, but given that the Masterpiece Edition - which includes the base game plus DLC - is $20 on Steam, the asking price on Switch isn't likely to stray from that value. To hold you over until it's officially available, here's the teaser trailer:
