Leagoo's S10 is still just an idea for now, but will have in-display fingerprint reader

It has been a while since we last heard about the Leagoo S10. Although the specifications still aren't set in stone, the company has issued an update on the handset, in preparation for its crowdfunding campaign that will start later this year.

Although the promotional video for the S10 looks quite impressive, Leagoo has yet to decide on what kind of processor will be powering the phone. Right now, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 or Snapdragon 680 are two different options, along with either the MediaTek Helio P60 or Helio P70. As far as RAM goes, the firm is looking to pack either 6GB or 8GB RAM, with internal storage options of either 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB.

Although the previous iteration had three lenses similar to Huawei P20 Pro, the reenvisioned S10 aims to keep things less ambitious and more realistic with a dual camera on the rear. Leagoo could end up utilizing a Sony 20MP and 13MP setup, or a Sony 16MP and 8MP array. But what makes the S10 interesting is that it will arrive with an in-display fingerprint reader. If the company can pull this off, it will be part of a small elite group, which right now, consists of Vivo, Huawei, and Xiaomi.

As far as pricing goes, the firm is shooting to have the smartphone priced anywhere from $300 to $500. In a nutshell, the company has a design render and not much else. But if you are interested in funding the project, you will be able to do so on Indiegogo in the next few months.
