Sony seems to be working on yet another selfie focused smartphone, according to the image and specs posted by an online leaker.
It hasn't been long since the launch of the selfie centric Xperia C4, but Sony might already be working on a smartphone with more megapixels for the front camera under the codename "Lavender," according to the latest leak from Upleaks.
The leaked image of the front of the device, shows an almost bezel-less construction for the sides with a bit of padding at the top and the bottom. The front facing camera and the flash are positioned in a way similar to that on the C4, and it's safe to assume that the final product might just look identical as well. The Sony logo has been removed from the image by the leaker for some reason.
On the inside, Lavender is said to feature a MediaTek MT6752 64Bit 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor with a Mali-T760 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Storage information about the device is not known yet. The display is revealed to be full HD, which is an upgrade from the 720p on the C4. It is also revealed that the size of the screen will be larger than the 5.5-inch seen on Xperia C4. Both the cameras will pack the same 13 megapixel Sony IMX214 sensor.
There's no release info provided by Upleaks, but we have heard rumours of a Sony launch event towards the end of May, and we could see this smartphone being launched alongside others.
