It's Mobile World Congress 2017, which means that most manufacturers of mobile devices will be launching new devices. Lenovo announced four new Windows 10 convertibles, but not showing any favoritism, it also unveiled four Android tablets.
The Tab 4 series is aimed at the entire family, with Kids Pack and Productivity Pack offerings.
With a Snapdragon 425 chipset, the Tab 4 8 is the entry level model of the four. It has an 8-inch display with a 1280x800 resolution, 2GB RAM, and either 16GB or 32GB of storage.
It also includes Dolby Atmos speakers, and will begin shipping in May for $109. It will come in either white or black.
With the same dimensions as the Tab 4 8, the Tab 4 8 Plus bumps everything up a notch. The chipset is now an octa-core Snapdragon 625, the display is 1920x1200, and RAM and storage configurations are either 3GB and 16GB, respectively, or 4GB and 64GB.
Also shipping in May in Sparkling White and Aurora Black, the Tab 4 8 Plus will cost $199.
The Tab 4 10 is basically the Tab 4 8 in a larger package. It has a 10.1-inch display with a 1280x800 resolution, 2GB RAM, and either 16GB or 32GB of storage. The chipset is also the same quad-core Snapdragon 425.
Like the devices above, it will begin shipping in May, but it will cost $149 and will come in white or black.
If the Tab 4 10 was the Tab 4 8 in a larger package, then the same can be said about the Tab 4 10 Plus and the Tab 4 8 Plus. It sports a Snapdragon 625, a 10.1-inch 1920x1200 display, and the same RAM and storage configurations.
Coming in Sparkling White and Aurora Black, it will begin shipping in May for $249.
As mentioned above, there's a Kids Pack and a Productivity Pack, which are optional add-ons. The Kids Pack comes with a shock-resistant bumper (as you can see from images above), two scratch-protective 3M stickers, eye-protecting blue light filter, and Lenovo Kids Account built-in. It will cost $19.99 for the 8-inch devices and $24.99 for the 10-inch tablets.
The Productivity Pack is exclusive to the 10-inch tablets, and it includes a keyboard case, which has a stand, a Bluetooth keyboard, and can be used as a protective sleeve. When snapped on, the device will automatically go to a Productivity Interface. The Productivity Pack will cost $49.99.
