Last week, Lenovo announced that its ditching Vibe Pure UI in the favor of stock Android in its upcoming smartphones. The firm has now launched its new K-series handset, the K8 Note, with stock Android OS in India, offering some pretty decent features at a low price.
Powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X23 chipset, the handset packs either 3GB or 4GB RAM along with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB through a microSD card. It offers a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D technology, 4,000 mAh battery, 15W fast charging and a Mali-T880 GPU.
The budget-friendly device is the company's first smartphone with dual camera setup. It has dual rear 13 MP and 5 MP cameras, and a 13 MP front-facing shooter with front flash. Being a multimedia device, the phone features Dolby Atmos, TheaterMax, and a dedicated customizable music key.
Lenovo K8 Note comes with stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, with no customizations done by the company. Furthermore, it has a nano-coating with splash resistance technology, a fingerprint sensor, and a sleek metal body.
The device will come in Venom Black and Fine Gold color options and will be available for purchase on August 18 on Amazon at the price of INR 12,999 (roughly $203) for 3GB variant and INR 13,999 (roughly $219 USD) for 4GB model.
