It was a year ago that Lenovo announced the Moto Z and Moto Z Force at its Tech World 2016 event. The newly revealed line of handsets offered the unique selling point that it could accept modular accessories, expanding the capabilities of the devices. A year later, we have yet to see successors introduced, but have been seeing leaks hinting of its impending arrival over the past couple months.
Last month we got a glimpse of the Moto Z2 and now it appears that Lenovo has sent out a press invite for an event that will be taking place on June 27. Although we are typically left guessing as to what might arrive on the set date, the invite offers a clue, with an image of a handset's rear that shows off a dual-lens camera.
If the Moto Z2 makes an appearance at the event, which is extremely likely, then there is also the chance that the Z2 Force will also be announced. While they should share similar specifications, the Force line is known to be more resilient to drops and damage. For now, we will have to be patient, and wait for the event date to arrive.
