Not too long ago, LG started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the LG V30 in South Korea, and it seems now the company is testing a beta of the update for the LG G6 as well. According to a new report, the Android 8.0 Oreo beta is being tested by LG G6 users in China.
A Chinese user posted some screenshots of the LG G6 running the Android 8.0 Oreo beta. The screenshots, although not in English, showcase some of the features that come with Oreo, including the ability to snooze notifications, home screen shortcuts, improved interface, battery performance, and more.
The user also provided some feedback after running the beta version, saying that it improved the performance and battery consumption, improvements to the interface, and more. The software version is V19A and is currently rolling out for the following LG G6 models:
- LGM-G600L
- LGM-G600S
- LGM-G600K
- LGM-G600LR
- LGM-G600SR
- LGM-G600KR
- LGM-G600LP
- LGM-G600SP
- LGM-G600KP
It's good to see that LG is working on the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its flagship LG G6. There's no word if the beta version will roll out in other regions, but now that it's being tested, it shouldn't take too much time for the stable version to reach the device.
