LG Electronics introduced its Tone Free true wireless earbuds in January of this year featuring Meridian's audio technology. Today, the company refreshed that accessory lineup by announcing two new models, with a self-cleaning capability for the more pricey variant.
The HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4 are powered by Meridian's Headphone Spatial Processing system to give you a listening experience that simulates loudspeakers. However, the earbuds don't feature active noise cancellation, but there's noise isolation courtesy of the eartips. Additionally, the earbuds feature Ambient Sound Mode for listening to your surroundings with a single press of a button.
A distinct feature of the higher-end model, HBS-FN6, is its UVnano charging case that can get rid of germs and bacteria using ultraviolet light while charging. In terms of its main function, the charging case is designed to provide up to six hours of listening time on a single charge. It can also fully charge the earbuds up to three times before it drains.
Both pairs of earbuds have four sound presets to customize your listening experience. There's Natural for an authentic sound, Immersive for a large room-like experience, Bass Boost, and Treble Boost. The new Tone Free accessories are rated IPX4 for protection from water splash, rain, and perspiration. You can also quickly access various digital assistants like Siri or Google Assistant with the Voice Command feature. Both models will be rolled out in some European and American markets starting next month, available in Stylish Black and Modern White colors.
