At this year's gamescom, Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco have announced the sequel to 2017's horror puzzle platformer Little Nightmares.
For those not familiar, the first game had you play as Six, a hungry child stuck on the Maw, which was essentially a cruise ship catering to the needs of an assortment of sick creatures. It got three DLC levels under the Secrets of the Maw umbrella, which were released in July 2017, November 2017, and February 2018, respectively.
In the sequel, folks will encounter the similarly creepy artstyle of the original, though the story will, on this occasion, be set in what looks to be a rundown city rather than a cruise ship. You will play as Mono and face "a completely new set of distorted enemies" while at the same time learning "how to be as courageous as a child", hinting at protagonist of the first one.
Little Nightmares II is coming out in 2020 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, though no specific digital retailers have been announced for the latter.
