When it comes to charging mobile devices, some are left with the unpleasant scenario of having to own two sets of cables, Lightning and microUSB. While there have been clunky solutions in the past, LMcable is about to change things by offering a cable that can charge both Lightning and microUSB devices without the need for an added adapter.
The cable is currently being funded via Kickstarter and comes in a variety of colors. The device is simple and doesn't require any extra external adapters to function. Instead, LMcable only requires the user to flip the cable depending on what device they will be using. The cable does support fast charging at 2.4A and can also transfer data if being used with a computer.
While the cables did start at $9 USD, the early bird backing slots have now been filled. Those looking to purchase a cable will have to back the project for $15. Luckily, LMcable is offering a promotion that will allow backers to get an extra cable for free just for getting the word out. The directions for a free additional cable can be found at the bottom of the Kickstarter page. The campaign has 29 days to go and will end on the March 30th.
