While The Dark Knight Rises isn't due to be released to theaters until the summer of 2012, the marketing tie-ins for the latest Batman movie have already started. Slashgear reports from London that Nokia has create a very limited edition of the Lumia 800 smartphone that has a black finish and has the Batman logo laser etched on the back. The phone was spotted in London before a preview screening of a few minutes of The Dark Knight Rises.
You can see the smartphone in a video above this post. The phone's packaging is itself wrapped in its own special black cover, again with the Batman logo. Turning on the special version of the Lumia 800 reveals the film's main villain Bane on the phone's start up screen and there are more Batman logos seen on the Windows Phone-based tile screen.
The article claims that only 40 units of these limited edition Lumia 800 phones have been made, so your chances of getting one are pretty slim unless someone decided to put one up on eBay. Even then, we suspect the bidding price to go through the roof.
