Windows 10 Insiders who wish to be able to access Microsoft To-Do directly from the Mail and Calendar apps may be pleased to learn that this is now possible. Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 have reportedly received a new update which integrates a dedicated To-Do button in the hamburger menu for those apps.
Aggiornamenti Lumia, which first spotted the changes, reports that the update is rolling out to the Fast ring and Skip Ahead Insiders. The update also bumps up the Mail and Calendar version number to 16005.11001.20041.0.
While the change is arguably minor, it still helps to boost productivity since the button serves as a shortcut to launching Microsoft To-Do immediately, especially if you see something important in the Mail or Calendar apps that's worth noting. Additionally, the update brings with it the usual bug fixes and other improvements.
On top of that, Mail app users under the Insider program might be in for a new, yet long overdue, change in the message list: a redesigned dark theme. Previously, the Mail app's message list is displayed in pitch black.
With the slightly tweaked dark mode, a gray tone is now added to the theme arranged alternately with the black accent. It's not clear when this update will be pushed system-wide, but it's expected to please many users of the app.
Microsoft has been busy rolling out plenty of updates to the Mail and Calendar apps for Windows 10 in recent months, including the Fluent Design which was added late last year. These new changes are another welcome features to these apps.
