Patchou, the creator and developer behind the famous Messenger Plus! Live has announced the upcoming changes to his Windows Live Messenger add-on. The announcement states that Messenger Plus! Live 4.80 Beta has been released to testers for skin compatibility in Windows Live Messenger 2009, followed up shortly with the public release of 4.80 after 10 days of testing.
Patchou also mentioned a new release of his popular software, with improved changes to the interface, and a focus on skins in the next release, Messenger Plus! Live 5.0. Messenger Plus! Live 5.0 will also improve stability between software add-ons such as A-patch, Mess patch, and other messenger add-ons, giving other developers a 3 page document to help improve overall stability in the client itself.
Messenger Plus! Live improves the users experience with other friends that have the software installed, with the ability to send multi-coloured messages, tabbed conversations, custom sounds, user created skins, and lockable messenger, just to name a few.
Windows Live Messenger 2009 was recently announced as the final version (build 1202) in the Windows Live Essentials collection that can be downloaded from download.live.com.
