A brand new Metroid Prime game was announced by Nintendo at its E3 event, arriving almost a decade after its last installment, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii. The unveiling was simply a title card with the game's name Metroid Prime 4 and saying the game is "now in development for the Nintendo Switch".
Nintendo is keeping details to themselves as no gameplay, release date nor its developer was revealed. The original Metroid Prime trilogy was developed by Retro Studios, and received high critical acclaim on release.
All in all, Nintendo fans may have to wait quite a while before the game launches, considering not even a release time frame was given.
