Microsoft 365 subscribers might be facing issues with accessing the admin portal right now and possibly other tools and pages, as the service looks to be facing an outage. The company acknowledged the issue and is currently looking into the problems.
We’re investigating an issue with users being unable to access the Admin Portal, more details to be provided shortly.

Interestingly, the outage seems to have impacted the Microsoft 365 Status page as well. Users have taken to Twitter to share screenshots of the status pages which serve an error and are currently unreachable. It is not clear what tools are currently impacted, but the issue seems to be affecting users across the U.S. and in Europe, where most reports are originating from when looking at DownDetector.
We've identified a recently-applied update that may be the source of the issue. We're reverting the update in an effort to mitigate impact. Additional details can be found at https://t.co/lbjX5iaxCX

The company first stated that it will provide an update within 30 minutes. However, at the time of writing, it added that the reason for the outage is a “recently-applied update". It is currently working to revert the update. However, at least one user suggests that users can try accessing the portal through the Office Admin app to sign licenses, but it is not clear yet if that workaround is viable.
Earlier today, video conferencing service Zoom also saw outages, making it an eventful Monday.
