As the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop, there seems to be no shortage of ways to keep track of any developments, but Microsoft is making it easier anyway. As spotted by Italian website HTNovo, the company has added some links to coronavirus-related information to Windows Search on Windows 10.
The capability is showing up through a server-side update, and all it really does is link you to Microsoft resources for information about the pandemic. The interactive map leads users to the Bing-powered map tracking the number of cases all around the world, and it will also specifically show data for whatever region you're in. The map has been live for a while, this is just a quicker way to access it, but it does contain a fair amount of detail and insights into the outbreak.
The second link is for news headlines, and it just takes you to Microsoft News' portal for coronavirus-related news in your country. Microsoft News aggregates articles from multiple local sources, so it should be a good enough way to keep track of what's happening around you.
As mentioned above, this is just one of the many ways users can get quick access to information regarding COVID-19, with Facebook making its own information hub and Google highlighting information related to the pandemic in its search results.
