Microsoft and Wirehive team up to get digital agencies onto Azure

Microsoft has announced a partnership with the U.K. cloud consultancy firm, Wirehive. The two will aim to help thousands of digital agencies to start building new services on Microsoft’s Azure cloud. With 25,000 digital agencies throughout the U.K., Microsoft is looking to gain many new customers with this partnership.

The digital agencies will use Azure-based services in help them to carry out their work which includes advising businesses on marketing and technology adoption, Microsoft described these agencies as offering “a gateway to the many companies who are thinking about digitally transforming to meet the business needs of the 21st century but are unsure of where to begin.”

Discussing the deal with Wirehive, Microsoft’s Vice President of U.K. Commercial Partners, Joe Macri, said:

“As part of our partnership, we have already created a go-to-market plan to empower digital agencies with the relevant tools, signing up more than 200 agencies to the Microsoft Partner Programme as a result. It really is great to see these results at such an early stage in our relationship and I look forward to working with [Wirehive Chief Executive Robert Belgrave] and the team on even more exciting projects.”

While the partnership has only just been announced, Wirehive has already partnered with several businesses including The Gym Group, which has begun adopting Azure and Power BI for some of its services. Microsoft will no doubt be looking forward to how many new digital agencies it can turn into customers through its new partnership with Wirehive.
