Today, Microsoft announced the date and time of its press conference for E3 2017, which will be held on June 11 at 2pm. Being that E3 is a gaming event, you can expect to hear a lot about Xbox.
Last year's E3 briefing saw the launch of the Xbox One S, as well as the Xbox Design Lab, which allows customers to design the colors of their controllers. And then there's Project Scorpio, which was also talked about. Scorpio is set to include actual 4K gaming, rather than just the 4K video streaming that's available with the One S.
This year, Project Scorpio will likely be the center of attention, as you can see from the image. We'll finally find out what the console is going to be called, as well as a timeframe for its release.
In fact, very little is known about Scorpio right now. Other than the name and the timeframe, we don't even know what it will look like, or whatever other features the console might have. At E3, fans should finally get a clear image of what Scorpio will be.
If we're lucky, we might also get a hint of what's coming in the next feature update of Windows 10 for the Xbox One series of devices, which is codenamed Redstone 3, and slated for later this year.
