Last week, some rumors popped up that Microsoft is working on a subscription service called Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. During its Inside Xbox webcast today, the company confirmed those rumors.
The service combines the firm's two other subscription offerings, including Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. It will cost $14.99 per month, and you'll be able to convert the value from your existing subscriptions if you want to switch over.
While it sounds a bit expensive, you're still getting a deal. Both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold cost $9.99 per month if you pay monthly. Xbox Live Gold is $59.99 per year though, so if you pay annually, it's pretty much the same price.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate won't be available until later on this year. However, Xbox Insiders will be able to test out the service starting today. Sadly, the webcast didn't say anything about the rumored $1 per month pricing for Insiders. You can expect to hear more about it at E3 in June.
