Last year, when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, Microsoft ended up announcing that its events would be all-digital until July 2021. As it turns out, this might go on through the end of the year, thanks to a video shown off by renowned Microsoft leakster WalkingCat.
The video shows off the dates of upcoming events, which were not publicly known, and it also has a focus on virtual events. It reveals the dates of Build 2021 for May 25 - 27, but it also reveals this fall's likely Ignite dates, which will be October 13 - 14. Being that the video is focused on digital events, and that Ignite is just two days instead of the five it usually is when it's in-person, it's safe to assume that it's digital.

None of this is particularly surprising, but there is a lot of new information here. WalkingCat does follow up by saying that these could be placeholder dates, something that would be much more likely for Ignite than Build, which is just a couple of months away. But even if the dates change, it's very clear from the video that the fall Ignite event is planned to be all-digital.
Naturally, things can change, and that does tend to happen, considering that none of this has been publicly announced. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
