Microsoft claims that "collaboration is the secret sauce" to help bring new technologies to market. The key is to unify research with needs in the market, but more so than aligning on these two ideas, you must also do it at the correct time and price point. If you manage to hit all these key points, the product will be a success in the marketplace. But to bring all these points together is not a simple task and getting it right the first time is an even bigger hurdle.
