Earlier this week, Microsoft slashed $250 off the Dell Inspiron 13 5378, a mid-range Windows 10 2-in-1, reducing its price from $749 to just $499. Today, the company has launched another deal on a Dell device, and like the Inspiron 13, it's also got one of Intel's latest seventh-generation 'Kaby Lake' processors.
From today until March 28, Microsoft is offering $200 (24%) off the Dell Inspiron 15 5578, the larger sibling of the Inspiron 13. It's also a 2-in-1 Windows 10 machine with a display that can fold over 360 degrees, turning the notebook into a (fairly chunky) tablet. Its key specs include:
- 15.6-inch LED-backlit touchscreen with Full HD (1920x1080px) resolution
- 2.70GHz Intel Core i7-7500U processor
- 8GB DDR4 RAM
- 1TB hard drive
- SD card reader
- 2 x USB 3.0
- 1 x USB 2.0
- 1 x HDMI
- 802.11ac Wi-Fi with Miracast support
- Bluetooth 4.0
- 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port
- Integrated webcam
- Precision touchpad
- TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 2.0
- 382 x 253 x 20.2mm; 1.99kg
If you're looking for something a bit more compact, and more affordable, than the Inspiron 13 or Inspiron 15, there is another deal available at the Microsoft Store that may pique your interest. Microsoft is currently offering 29% off the ASUS Transformer Mini, a 10.1-inch Windows 10 tablet. It's now available for just $249, which includes a detachable keyboard, pen, and Windows Hello fingerprint recognition.
