Shortly before the launch of its latest Xbox One S console, Microsoft cut the price of its older Xbox One to $249 in the United States, and £199 in the UK. While some deals occasionally popped up to reduce the cost of the console even further for British buyers, Microsoft itself has now cut the price of the original Xbox One to as little as £179.99.
The entry-level 500GB Xbox One is now available with two free games - Forza Horizon 3 and Halo 5: Guardians - for £179.99, but there are numerous other options to choose from.
For example, Microsoft has slashed £100 off its Xbox One Elite Bundle, which usually costs £299.99. The bundle includes a 1TB Xbox One, along with the Elite controller, and is now on sale for £199.99. Given that the Elite controller alone is priced at £119.99, that effectively reduces the cost of the 1TB console to just £80 - quite a deal.
