Last week, Microsoft cut 10% off the price of the most affordable Surface Book model to come with a discrete GPU in the UK, in a deal that was supposed to end on October 16. However, the company has quietly extended that offer by a further nine days.
In addition to the dGPU, the device comes with a Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. Usually priced at £1,599, it's currently available for £1,439, saving buyers £160. The deal is now scheduled to end on October 25.
A lower-end Surface Book model with a dGPU is available in the US, featuring the same sixth-generation 'Skylake' Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM, but just 128GB of storage. However, that more affordable model is not sold in the United Kingdom.
Next week, Microsoft is expected to unveil its new all-in-one Surface desktop PC, and there have also been rumors that it may launch 'refreshed' versions of its Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 there with Intel's new Kaby Lake processors. A new Surface Mouse, Surface Keyboard and Surface Ergonomic Keyboard are also likely to make their debut at that event.
We'll be there to bring you news of everything that's announced at that event, so stay tuned to Neowin.
