Today, Microsoft announced that it will be holding its own keynote at IFA 2017 in Berlin. The event will be on Friday, September 1 at 5:05am Pacific Time.
The company didn't go into details at all about what might be announced, but since we're not expecting any new hardware or software announcements from Microsoft, it seems likely that the firm will be showcasing its partners' devices. We've already seen quite a bit of Windows devices announced, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets seem to be the big thing this year.
Earlier this week, Dell christened its head-mounted display (HMD) as the Visor, and ASUS announced its Windows Mixed Reality Headset earlier today. Lenovo is also expected to announce its HMD at its keynote tomorrow.
There have also been quite a few new ultrabooks announced that have eighth-generation Intel quad-core processors, offering significant performance improvements over their dual-core predecessors. So far, we've seen these PCs from Acer, ASUS, and Dell.
