Although some thought that Microsoft had lost its "touch" over the past few years, it seems that now things are quite the opposite. Over the course of 2015, we have seen a company that has performed an about-face and unveiled some very interesting and utterly mind-blowing technologies. For this reason and the sheer longevity of Windows, Microsoft has nabbed itself two awards at this year's T3 awards.
While the T3 Awards might not be the most prestigious, it certainly is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the accolades that the company has received in 2015. Microsoft's HoloLens was crowned with the "Design Innovation" award while Windows was inducted into the T3 Hall of Fame. Naturally, Microsoft will attempt to keep up this momentum to close out 2015.
The Redmond giant is also expected to announce new products at its October 6th event. It is rumored that Microsoft will unveil the Surface Pro 4, two new flagship Lumia devices with Windows 10 Mobile and an update to last year's wearable, the Band 2. While the Surface line has increased in popularity, the company still struggles to attract consumers to its smartphone devices and mobile OS.
