Microsoft's Xbox One gaming console gets monthly updates (in most months), and as usual, there's one coming in June. While Xbox Insiders have been testing it for a while, Microsoft doesn't like to tell testers what's in it until it can make one big announcement. That announcement came today for version 2006; however, it's worth noting that some rings are already testing version 2007.
First up is more improvements to the Guide, something that the company has been working on throughout the last few feature updates. It's supposed to be easier to navigate between tabs, and make it easier for you to engage with friends.
Also being added are badges for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold subscribers. You'll see this next to your Gamertag on the Home screen and in the Guide. Clicking on the badge will let you update your profile information without having to go to the Profile page. If you're a new Game Pass subscriber, you'll also find the Game Pass content block right at the top of your dashboard.
Club verification is now a thing. You'll be able to differentiate between official Clubs and fan-made Clubs with new badges. There are some minor Mixer improvements too. Previously, if you scrolled through streams, they'd stop loading after 100; now there's no cap.
As you can see, this is a pretty minor, with a lot of it improving on other features. It will arrive later on this month for everyone, followed by version 2007 next month.
