Microsoft Planner, a task management application for Office 365 users which became available on the iTunes Store about two weeks ago is now rolling out on the Google Play Store. The company has made an official announcement about the launch of the app on both the platforms today.
With the Planner mobile app, users can create and assign tasks, send files and chat on the go. Plans which are easy to visualize can be made using the Planner web app, and tasks related to the plan can be acted upon using the mobile app.
The ability to create plans using the mobile app is said to be coming soon. Additionally, Microsoft Intune integration and push notifications support is also expected to launch in forthcoming updates on both Android and iOS.
In order to use the app, a qualifying Office 365 subscription is required. The Office 365 subscriptions that feature the Planner app are Office 365 Business Premium ($15 per month) and Office 365 Business Essentials ($6 per month).
If you already have one of the mentioned plans, you can grab the application from the iTunes Store or the Google Play Store and start using it for organizing tasks with your team.
